Assignment #2 Settle in!!

1. I think that I do actually embody the very characteristics of a not a "good" but "slightly average" musical theatre student, here are three very specific examples, though the list goes on but it would take way to long to mention them all!!

a) I enjoy talking, its a past time of mine, even if nobody is there! Its just so much fun! I especially like talking to old people, they have so many cool stories to share, my second favorite people to talk to are my fellow musical theatre students!!!! If you want to meet some cool people try Newfoundland first then try the our musical theatre group! Be careful when talking in musical theatre, if you get caught talking while the important people are talking you might want to move to Mexico really fast! Its also important to listen and I do that to... on occasion, if its a really important thing to listen to!

b) Some people say I have a short attention span, I say compared to what! If its compared to a goldfish than , No , I have a very long attention span. If you compare me to someone like Quin then yeah I do but, come on, who can be compared to Quin!! He can stay on task and use all his positive energy to get into his part! He is soo good!! I do my absolute best to stay on track and pay attention in musical theatre!!! By the way I think the best part of musical theatre is waking up early on Thursday and practice in the morning. Its absolutely delightful!

c)  My Mother says that I have a lot of energy, I think I might agree with her just this once. I think in the case of musical theatre it is good to have a lot of energy, if you can use it to get into your part and add to the play. As long as your not distracting other people from learning their choreo and lines and other things. In summary I think having lots of energy is great ( which is good because I have LOADS of it) but to much is really distracting. ( Mr.Yerex should really tone it down a bit, its hard to concentrate with that guy bursting with energy!)

2. I have three specific goals for myself in this course and I also have ways of achieving my three specific goals, they are as follows-

a) My first specific goal in this course is to get better at dancing and choreography. I don't think I'm a bad dancer but I'm not a good one for sure, I will try to achieve this specific goal by listening really really closely when we are learning them, then going home and practicing them in front of a mirror and I wont do anything fun until I get them!

b) My second specific goal in this course is to do my best at learning my lines and songs before we are blocking them on stage so things will go smoothly,  I will try to achieve this specific goal by listening really really closely when I am memorizing them, then going home and practicing them in front of a mirror and I wont do anything fun until I get them!

c) My third specific goal in this course is to not ruin the musical. I will try to achieve this specific goal by not doing anything fun until we all finish the last bows of the play and every one is blown away with how good it is and how good the directors where and how they should all get a million dollars for how good a job they are doing!

3. I don't think I've grown that much since September but I couldn't really say for sure, I haven't measured myself! I think I defiantly grown since the grade nine musical, moving from a physical level to a musical mind level I think I have grown since September, its been fun getting to know everyone in the musical. It was a little bit scary starting with a lead and jumping in with people who had done this lots but everyone was really really nice and I've gotten to work with really cool people, since September its been easier to act and work in front of and with other people!
